Steps to Set Up a Facebook Business Page

Before jumping to a page set up, be sure that you cannot make a business page without a personal account. You can log in to your business page with the credentials of your personal account.

Step 1: 

Go to facebook.com/business click the drop-down button with the ‘create an ad’ button and select ‘create a page’. It will direct you to a settings page where you’ll be asked a few questions about your page including name, category, and description. 

Step 2:

Once you have your account set move on to getting your team on board. Got to settings where you’ll find ‘page roles’. There you can assign rules to your team from manager to editor so that you only have the right people on your team.

Step 3:

Set a profile picture for the relevant people to easily find you. For business accounts, it is better to use a logo. Cover photos are equally important and therefore have to be attractive.

Step 4:

Add a CTA to your page to guide your audience on their final step after visiting your account. You can choose between buttons like ‘call now’, ‘message’, etc.

Fill out other information like ‘about’, ‘our story’, etc. and you are all set to go.

Steps to Set Up an Instagram Business Page

Step 1:  

Start with creating an account. You can set an individual account or sign up with Facebook to link accounts.

Step 2:

For a business Instagram account, you have to connect your Instagram account with a Facebook business page. In the settings, you can select ‘switch to business profile’. It will give you the option to choose from different Facebook pages that you want to link to your Instagram business account.

Step 3:

Complete your business information on Instagram. Add address, bio, description, etc. Upload a profile picture that denotes your business. Once you are done, review your account for a final check.

Step 4:

You can invite your contacts from Facebook, Gmail, or other networks. Meanwhile, fill your profile with images and videos of your product or service.

Do not add personal pictures, keeping your personal and private accounts separate, allowing visitors to know about your business right away. Make sure your content is engaging for the audience to stay longer and purchase from you.
